The House of Arras is a true expression of its origin and maker – a marriage of exceptional cold climate Tasmanian vineyards and uncompromising sparkling winemaking techniques mastered over decades.The A by Arras continues this tradition by blending select parcels of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from premium cold climate fruit throughout Tasmania. These blends are matured extensively on lees to ensure the character and poise that is the hallmark of the House of Arras.

This includes some aged reserve wine; the base wine is composed of 55-60% pinot noir, 30-35% chardonnay, 7.5% pinot meunier, and spends three years on lees. It is recognisably a complex Arras house style, with a refreshing citrus tang to the long finish.

Aroma

A complex aroma with nuances of forest floor, nougat, exotic spruce and lanolin.

Palate

The palate has opulent flavours reminiscent of lychee, butter sautéed mushroom, natural yoghurt and fresh oyster. This elegantly structured wine has great persistence of flavour and exquisite balance of dosage and acidity.

Winemaking

A blend of three classic grape varieties of sparkling wine. The wine spends a minimum of 3 years on lees before it's released and at least 6 months on-cork which gives it a rich but fresh flavour.
